Custom Builds, Not Standard Designs
A great custom home is about more than choosing a floorplan. It is about creating a home that works with your block, your lifestyle and the way you want to live every day.
At Burra Built, we focus on custom built homes that feel considered from the very beginning. From layout and functionality to materials, finishes and long-term liveability, our team works with you to bring together a home that feels personal, cohesive and built with care.
Whether you are planning a luxury custom home, looking for a custom home builder, or ready to build on your lot, we help create homes that are designed around you from start to finish.
Is a Custom Build Right For You?
-
A custom build allows you to create a home that suits the way you live, rather than trying to make an existing home work. From the layout to the finishes, every detail can be considered with your lifestyle in mind.
-
Every block is different. A custom home builder can help you respond to the site, orientation, natural light, views, slope and access so your new home feels well planned from the start.
-
If you know what you want your home to feel like, a custom build gives you the flexibility to bring that vision to life. Burra Built can work with your plans, ideas and preferred level of customisation to help shape the right outcome.
-
High-end custom home builders focus on more than simply getting the home built. The quality of materials, workmanship, details and finishes all contribute to a home that feels cohesive, refined and built for long-term living.
-
Building a new home is a major investment, and communication matters. Burra Built works closely with clients through each stage of the process, helping you understand what is happening and what comes next.
-
A custom built home should support the way you live now and into the future. With the right planning and construction team, your new home can be built with quality, functionality and long-term comfort in mind.

Customer Reviews
“We worked with Burra Built on our full custom home build, and from the very beginning, the process felt considered and well managed. Jackson took the time to understand what we wanted from the home, how we wanted it to function, and the details that mattered most to us.
Throughout the build, communication was clear and we always felt informed about what was happening next. The finished home feels exactly like what we had hoped for, but even better in the details. It feels personal, practical and beautifully built.”
— Sally A, Mt Martha“The thing that stood out most to us was the level of care and attention to detail from the Burra Built team. Every part of the home feels like it was thought through properly, from the layout and finishes to the practical details we use every day.
Building can feel overwhelming, but Jackson made the process feel much easier to navigate. We felt confident in the quality of the work and really appreciated the pride the team took in getting the result right.”
— Callum S, Bon Beach“Burra Built made the building process feel organised and straightforward. Jackson was approachable, honest and easy to communicate with, which made a big difference throughout the project.
We always felt like the team cared about the outcome, not just getting the job done. The end result is a home that feels functional, well finished and built around the way we actually live.”

Step 1: Vision Concept and Design
We collaborate on your ideas and vision, provide expert recommendations, then get to work on designing your design. We discuss budget, resources, and time to ensure we’re all on the same page. We will then provide a preliminary quotation for your review.
Step 2: Contract Signing
Once you are satisfied with your quotation, we will produce a formal contract which you will be required to sign.
Step 3: Documents and Permits
Let us take care of the different documentation and permits required such as town planning, developer approval, working drawings, contracts and building permits.
Step 4: Construction
Now we are able to commence construction! The stages within the construction phase include: base stage, frame stage, lockup stage, fix stage, and completion stage. We provide regular updates on the progress of your new home and invite you to inspect the property as works progress.
Step 5: Handover
This is the exciting bit! Any outstanding works are finalised and we hand over the keys!
